The request was successful.
From: David Johnson
30 October 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
I should like to request that you identify, as a percentage of the
total number of posts within the trust, the number of doctors
(whether with either full, provisional or restricted licenses to
practice issued by the General Medical Council) whom are disabled
people within the meaning of section one of the Disability
Discrimination Act 1995.
Further, I should like to you clarify how many of the doctors so
identified are respectively: male or female; consultant grade or
other grade; full time or part time; suffering with physical
impairments, mental impairments, or both.
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Yours faithfully,
David Johnson

Dear Freedom Of Information Requests,
Thank you for your response. I am disappointed to note my query has
not been answered in its entirety.
In articular, you have not clarified the nature of the impairments
held by the doctors who identify as disabled (i.e., physical,
mental, or both), and you have not clarified their full/part time
status.
I note you have indicated three doctors with an FTE of 3, by this
do you mean that each of the doctors has an FTE of 1.0, or for
example could one have an FTE of 1.2 and another of 0.8 etc?
Yours sincerely,
David Johnson

Dear Complaints Department (LCFT),
I refer you your response to my request for internal review.
I am quite surprised by your statement that you cannot disclose
whether the three disabled doctors within the trust suffer with
physical, mental, or both impairments because you do not have a
legal duty to collect that information.
Whether or no you have a legal duty to collect the information is
irrelevant; if the information is held, it is subject to the FoI.
I find it extremely difficult to believe that the Trust accepts
three of its staff and disabled within the meaning of the DDA, and
yet the Trust does not know what their disabilities are.
I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
David Johnson
