Dear Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust,

I was hoping you may be able to help. I have an interest in
diabetes and over the last 12 months much has changed in the
medicines available in this field. I was wondering if you would be
good enough to privide some sort of list of 'formulary/guidlines'
of the diabetes drugs available within the LHB. Thank you for your
time.

Dear Mr Smith

I refer to your FOIA request received on 22^nd January 2010 seeking a list
of formulary/guidelines in relation to diabetes drugs available with the
LHB.

The Health Board accesses its formulary via an E-BNF system which is a web
based solution viewed via the intranet. Consequently no paper copies are
held. However, accessing the following link
([1]http://www.bnf.org/bnf/extra/current/450...) you can set up an
ATHENS account to log in view the formulary.

We hope this will address your information needs, however if we can be of
any further assistance please let us know.

Under the terms of the Health Board's Freedom of Information policy,
individuals seeking access to recorded information held by the Health

Registering with the BNF is free, the relevant link is below the one (on their page http://www.bnf.org) saying 'Login for Athens Users'.

Section 6.1 of the BNF covers 'Drugs used in diabetes'.

For patient information leaflets (PILs) about particular drugs see http://www.xpil.medicines.org.uk
