Dear Richard Hollands

Information Request 00227
I am in receipt of your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 regarding domain names for Devon County Council
supported websites.

Devon County Council is a large and diverse organisation that works in
close partnership with a wide variety of statutory and non-statutory
agencies on a very broad range of subjects and initiatives. These joint
services, projects and initiatives will often deploy the internet as a
core part of their communications strategy. Many of these sites will
initially sit outside the current devon.gov.uk domain although the County
Council may be the lead agency, major funding partner will be providing
logistical support.

Examples of websites currently outside the devon.gov.uk domain include:

. Against Domestic Violence and Abuse in Devon -
[1]www.adva.org.uk
. Customer First/Buy with Confidence - [2]www.customerfirst.gov.uk
& [3]www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk
. Devon Curriculum Services - [4]www.dcseducation.org
. Procurement Portal - [5]www.devontenders.gov.uk
. Devon Children's Trust - [6]www.devonchildrenstrust.org.uk
. Visit Devon - [7]www.visitdevon.co.uk
. Don't let Devon go to waste (recycling) -
[8]www.recycledevon.org.uk

. Sports Development - Active Devon - [9]www.activedevon.org

However, there is no complete central list of sites or domain names held
or published by the County Council and collating this information will
exceed the time limit of 18hrs work set out within the Freedom of
Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations
2004. We are therefore unable to comply with your current request.

Yours sincerely
