Dear Sir or Madam,
Please release the minutes for the above meeting. Please release
copies of any handouts or presentations given.
I also have some specific questions regarding the agenda items
below:
1. Introductions
How many people were present? Which government departments or
organisations were they representatives for?
2. Clarifying our understanding of Phorm- what it does, how it
works, what are the relationships between Phorm, ISPs, web-sites
and users, etc?
Who presented this item on the agenda?
3. Discuss the allocation of work between BERR, the Home Office,
MOJ and ICO.
What tasks were to be carried out by the departments concerned and
what decisions were made about where the work would be allocated?
4. Legal Questions- what are the community obligations, how are
they implemented and complied with, etc?
Please confirm what community obligations were discussed in the
meeting and the decisions in the meeting regarding compliance.
5.Timing- skeleton answers by 11 August; full answers by 18 August.
What were the questions being answered? To whom were the questions
directed and what answers were given?
6. A.O.B
What other business was discussed?
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Paul Hancocks

The September 2008 response to the EC was promptly rejected. By 10 October 2008, less than a month later, the EC told the UK Government their explanations were unacceptable;
