Thank you for your request for information which we received on 21 June. This was for:
'Details of ministers and officials who received hospitality from the private sector at the Brit Awards 2008. Specifically the names of ministers and officials who attended and the organisations (if any) who provided the hospitality'.
I am dealing with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ('the Act'). I am pleased to say that I can provide you with the information you requested as set out below.
The Ministers attending were Andy Burnham and Margaret Hodge, and the officials attending were Jennifer Gerber (Special Adviser) and Matthew Hill (Deputy Director of Creative Industries).
Hospitality was given by BPI and British Music Rights. One dinner and one free programme were accepted.
I have found an identical request from you on our system dated 25 February and would like to apologise that the Department did not answer that at the time. I have closed that original case on our system.
