Details of Empty Commercial Properties

I am writing in reply to your outstanding FOI request, the details of which are shown below.

Please find attached a spreadsheet containing details of empty commercial properties within the Waveney District Council area, which has just been provided by our Revenues and Benefits team.

The attached information contains details of the properties only and does not contain owners names as this is personal information and exempt from disclosure under the terms of the Act. In reaching this decision we have taken advice from our legal team and have also confirmed the position taken by colleagues in other Council's.

Dear Sir or Madam,

We requested the following on 7 May 2009

"(a) addresses and rateable values of empty Commercial properties
that are within Waveney District Council area; and

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)"
