Dear Sir or Madam,
Regarding the above ICO case Reference FS 50088374.The PA,in this
case the Imperial War Museum ,Lambeth Road,London, withheld
documentation after a F o I request to them. The request was in May
2005 and the relevant documentation was relocated in June 2006.As
this documentation was never correctly handled by the IWM it
seriously jepardised our case. This concerned a 1st issue Goetz
Lusitania medallion in iron that was defaced and damaged,MED 937.I
believe this medallion is the property of my late father, Milton
Wright. As the ICO have not yet resolved this issue, could they
please under the Act supply full correspondence between the ICO and
the IWM with regard to FS 50088374.This would be for June 2006;
July 2006;August 2006 and September 2006.
Yours faithfully,
R.G.Wright (Dr)

Dear Charlotte Powell, Thank you for your reply to my request.Your
download however only contained one letter dated 7 September
2006.At the request of IWM Board Chairman Sir Peter Squire,Two
Imperial War Museum Trustees Sir Miles Irving(MI) and Sir Francis
Richards(FR) reviewed this case.In their text on REVIEW page 19/20
MI/FR cited several letters between Ben Tomes, the ICO Case Officer
and the IWM management, mainly Director General(DG) Sir Robert
Crawford. Most notably on page 20 MI/FR cite corresponence dated 27
July 2006 from Ben Tomes to the DG IWM states : "--RGW maintains
that information has been withheld from him.Tomes states that the
Commissioner's Office has no evidence that this is the case--" .On
16 June 2006,approximately 6 weeks prior to this letter a
Triplicated Medallion Card Index containing some 1000 entries had
been found by the Museum. This TMC Index was the very information
that I was after, yet the DG IWM did not consider mentioning this to
ICO Case Officer Ben Tomes. This TMC Index had been requested under
the Act in May 2005.The Museum said they had lost this but would
contact me when it was relocated. In view of the Trustees statements
in their REVIEW document, citing this and other correspondence on
pages 19/20 I would request under the Act full transcripts of the
Ben Tomes/DG IWM letter of 27 July 2006 and the DG's subsequent
reply. This is evidence that is needed to assist our case and I
trust the ICO as an independent Commission will duly provide this
correspondence.
Yours sincerely,
Robert G.Wright.
