Dear Mr Hamilton,
Thank you for your request.
Please find attached a report about the current progress of the beaver project produced by the project partners . This document contains a section on mortality and quarantine.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland are the licence holders and 'project partners' of the Scottish Beaver Trial. They are, therefore, responsible for the quarantining of the beavers and the management of the animals at Knapdale. They may be able to provide you with more details on this issue.
I hope this information meets your needs but if you are dissatisfied with how we have responded to your information request, please write to us at Battleby, Redgorton, Perth, PH1 3EW or email us at [SNH request email], explaining your concerns.
