Dear Sir or Madam,

throughout NERC's history of working with the rspb has the
rspb ever been hired into a position which would have them
performing functions of public administration or were the rspb has
had public responsibilities relating to the environment. If this is
the case can i have any information surrounding the work carried
out.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Addison

Your ref: request-3745-f8ef1073

Thank you for your request to NERC for information on RSPB (see below - dated 24/10/08):

NERC has no records of hiring RSPB to carry out work on the basis of the specific functions referred to in your request, as we do not record this type of information. The request is therefore subject to the Exception 12(4a) of the Environmental Information Regulations (2004) whereby the public authority does not hold the information at the time an applicant's request is received. I'm sorry we can't be of more help to you on this occasion.

If you are unhappy with the way that NERC has handled your request you may ask for an internal review in the first instance. You should contact the NERC Complaints Officer at our Swindon Office to request such a review:
Natural Environment Research Council
Polaris House,
North Star Avenue
Swindon
Wiltshire SN2 1EU

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you then have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.

Yours sincerely
