5 November 2008

Dear Sir or Madam, In questions raised by the Public Petitions
Committee in relation to Petition PE1158 (published on Internet),
one of the questions asked was Quote:- "What consultation was
carried out with disabled/vulnerable groups prior to the cuts being
made?".

Aberdeen City Council reply to this is

Quote:- " A workshop took place in September 2007, which included a
small number of representatives from service user groups and
service users. This workshop was part of a process which
acknowledged the severe financial situation the Council was facing,
and the purpose was to develop long terms sustainable strategies
for Adults and Children’s Services. Input from participants at this
workshop was considered as part of the budget decisions."

Under the FOI I wish to request the following information,

What service user groups and organisations were represented at this
work shop?

Obviously under 38(1)(b) - "Personal Information of the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002." certain personal information must
be with-held.I do not wish any personal information on the
representatives only the names of the groups and organisations that
were represented.

Yours faithfully,

S.P.Domeracki
