A Freedom of Information request to Camden Borough Council by Theresa Ezekpo
Currently overdue a response from Camden Borough Council. By law, the response had to be prompt but no later than 29 September 2008. They are 100 days late, you can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know how many different households (from street
properties in St Albans Road NW5) have contacted your council in
the last 10 years to report/complain about:
1. harassment
2. trespassing
3. neighbours or members of the public using the complainants gates
or paths for various reasons
Please could you give, separately, a number for each of the three
categories in response to the question.
Yours faithfully,
T. Ezekpo

Dear Peter Williams
In your response to my request, you stated:
"In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 this letter
acts as a Refusal Notice.
You may wish to narrow and resubmit your request so that it falls
within the “appropriate limit”.
Please contact me if you would like some advice on refining your
request.
...Under section 12 of the Act, the Council is not obliged to
comply with a request for information if the authority estimates
that the costs of complying with the request would exceed the
appropriate limit.
The Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit
and Fees) Regulations 2004 has set the appropriate limit as £450
based on a charge at £25 per hour.
Your request has been considered and unfortunately we are unable to
provide you with the information you have requested."
So that I can request information successfully from you, I am
writing to find out your specific proposals for refining my
request. It would also be helpful if you could let me know what you
consider to be an 'appropriate limit' regarding requests for
information.
You also stated:
"I would also like to point out to you that we are becoming
concerned about the apparent vexatious nature of your requests: •
you have made ten other information requests that concern your
neighbours or your disputes with them • you have been found to be a
vexatious complainant in relation to these disputes • a request
that on the face of it is reasonable but actually forms part of a
wider trend of vexatious behaviour can be vexatious • the Act
allows us to refuse such requests if they are vexatious"
Please rest assured that my complaint is not vexatious. I am not a
vexatious type of person and have never been. I am in fact the
exact opposite. Anyone who thinks that I am vexatious simply does
not know me or is lying. I am in fact a law abiding citizen who is
considerate, honest, fair and peace loving.
The honest purpose of my valid request is to get the truth/facts
regarding Camden's approach to resolving disputes, harassments etc.
I am hoping that you will cooperate fully with my request without
any more concerns that I am being vexatious.
I look forward to receiving your early reply.
Yours sincerely,
Theresa Ezekpo

Please may I ask you to identify each of the alleged these requests and show how they add up to ten. I need to see how you arrived at the figure of 10 other requests and the view that they are all about my neighbours or disputes with.
