Dear Lincolnshire County Council,
This week's Daily Mail quotes Debbie Barnes, assistant director of
children's services at the council, saying that 'The DVD [Living
and Growing] has been recommended for use in schools by the
Department for Children, Schools and Families, and is seen as
appropriate for the age group [7 years old]. See
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-....
Please would you provide a copy of all documents, or other recorded
information held by the council, that reference or contain any DCSF
recommendations or guidance concerning this video.
Please also clarify whether it was DCSF, or some other entity or
entities, to which Ms. Barnes was referring when she stated that
the video "is seen as appropriate." If it was another entity or
entities, please specify which one(s).
Finally, please provide copies of any documents or other recorded
information - whether from DCSF or from any or source internal or
external - discussing or referencing the appropriateness of the
Living and Growing video for children at each year of age up to 18.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Yours faithfully,
S. Barber
