Shetland Islands Council

Mr John
I refer to your request for information received by Shetland Islands
Council on 20 March.
Please find below the information you requested:
Please could you disclose to me, what is the purpose of the"Datasharing
for Community Planning" web site?
The datasharing site was designed to help co-ordinate consultation with
the public in Shetland. It was felt it would be useful to have one
central place for community planning partners to feed in the results of
their consultation exercises, and so everyone would be able to take the
results into account when planning service delivery. It would also reduce
the likelihood of duplication and "consultation fatigue" from occurring.
Please could you tell me when you first became aware that the"Datasharing
for Community Planning" had been hacked?
When we were informed by yourself.
Please could you tell me what security measures you have in place to
prevent and detect such events?
Disclosure of information relating to ICT security matters may prejudice
the conduct of the Council's affairs or heighten the risk of further ICT
security breaches. Accordingly, this information is being withheld in
terms of Section 30(c) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Please could you tell me what plans you have to remove links to sites
promoting sildenafil, levofloxacin, carisoprodol, valium and other drugs
from the Datasharing for Community Planning web site?
This site was shutdown as soon as you made us aware of it.
I trust that this response meets your request, and would like to thank you
for bringing these matters to our attention. However, if you are
dissatisfied with the way in which the Council has dealt with your request
for information then you may ask the authority to review its actions and
decisions in relation to your request, by submitting a formal appeal. The
process for lodging appeals is set out in the attached leaflet.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
Regards, L Adamson
