Dear Huntingdonshire District Council,
I would like to request the following details of the database/s
used to store the details of Huntingdonshire District Council
Accounts:
(1) The name and version of the database software (eg Oracle,
mySQL, etc) used;
(2) The definitions of the tables in this database in terms of
names, columns, datatypes and relationships;
(3) The total size of the database containing this
information in terms of its memory on disk;
(4) How frequently this information is backed up and/or reloaded
into the database, and how long this process takes.

please clarify what you mean by "this information" in section 4 of your
request?
Your request will then be considered and you will receive the information

Re: Freedom of Information Act - FOI Request No 1272.
I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the
Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. We have
dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act.
Your request for information has now been considered.
You requested:
(1) The name and version of the database software used;
Oracle 10.2.0.1.0
(2) The definitions of the tables in this database in terms of names,
columns, datatypes and relationships;
Part 2 is exempt under Section 43 of the Freedom of Information Act. The
information requested, if released, will damage commercial interests of a
third party involved.
(3) The total size of the database containing this information in terms of
its memory on disk;
Total size of database 65GB
(4) How frequently this information is backed up and/or reloaded into the
database, and how long this process takes;
Cold backup every night to tape, which means the database is shutdown then
backed up and after the backup is complete the database is then available
again. The database backup takes 1 hour 40 minutes
This is a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of Freedom of Information Act.
