I refer to your recent request for information, as below. I have
received the following information from Julian Commons, the Council's
Anti Social Behaviour Co-ordinator:

This curfew is community lead with the police as the lead agency. All
meetings and letters of support would rest with them. I would also
remind you that the scheme is VOLUNTARY and is not IMPOSED on anyone and
so individuals are not forced to comply with it.

All we have on record here is a survey carried out in the Close Hill
area after the dispersal order detailing resident's feelings and their
concerns for the area. A large proportion of responses said they felt
that parents not taking responsibility for their children were an area
of concern. This survey was carried out by my team and police on the
community. I should point out that the survey was also anonymous.

There has been consultation with many agencies and police through the
PACT meetings (which are police lead) and details of these should be
sought through them.

I feel that as this is a voluntary scheme and not a legislative decision
and that the police are the lead agency then I feel that this request
should be directed to the police.

gleaned under this request to remain accessible on-line, which
would be achieved through the means of this web-based mechanism
employed for originating the request. I do not know what the
Council charges for scanning documents, but I am aware that a cost
exemption can be claimed under Ch. 36, S.12. of the Act. Do you
wish to claim an exemption under this provision ? Or is there a way
of sub-dividing the responses so that a representative sub-set may
