Dear Mr Doman,

Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

Unfortunately, the CRB are unable to provide this information, as we do
not request details of ethnic origins on Disclosure application forms,
and therefore do not hold the requested information.

The closest detail to your request that the CRB could provide, would be
in respect of Disclosure applications received broken down by
nationality, as this is a mandatory field on the application form.

It may interest you to know that the CRB conduct annual market research.
The outcome of the 2007/08 survey have not yet been published, however,
I have provided a link below to the results of the previous surveys.

The replies to two of my requests have been mixed up.

The question about ethnic monitoring of CRB requests received the reply that basically they are not monitored.

The request to name the organisations/people who are stakeholders in the review of the implementation of Basic CRB checks received the reply that the Home Office needs more time to reply!
