Dear Ms Macpherson
I am writing in respect of your enquiry for information held by this
Authority received on 13 October 2009 and to confirm that we have
completed the search for the information that you requested. You were
seeking information regarding criminal convictions and employees.
Unfortunately, we do not have the figures of CRB checks going back to
1998 as only a record that a CRB check has been completed is recorded on
personal files as it is not best practice to keep the actual CRB check.
I can confirm the following numbers of checks from invoices going back
to April 2008.
1) The number of people with criminal convictions employed by Dover
District Council . None who have had CRB checks completed.
2) The top ten job areas where people with criminal convictions are
employed. Not applicable.
3) The top ten types of conviction employees have. Not applicable.
4) The number of disclosures requested from the CRB. = 22
5) The number of enhanced disclosures requested from the CRB. = 8
6) A list of positions / job titles (or summary of areas of
work)where a CRB check was requested. Secretaries, Leisure
Services (i.e. Pier Attendants) Housing, ASBU, Museum, Benefits Visiting
Officers
