Crime statistics for permanently excluded pupils
Chris Jenkinson made this Freedom of Information request to Greater Manchester Police
Greater Manchester Police did not have the information requested.
From: Chris Jenkinson
26 April 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please inform me whether crime statistics are recorded by
educational status, and if so, what the recorded crime rate is for
pupils permanently excluded from schools. If possible, could the
recorded crime rates be categorised according to which mainstream
school and pupil referral unit the pupil attended. I would like
data from the present date to 10 years ago.
Yours faithfully,
Chris Jenkinson

Chris,
Crime Statistics are not recorded by educational status.
We could however provide you with crimes statistics where the 'premises
type' is 'school'. However we would not be able to provide you with the
name of the school or educational unit the child attended, this
information would be exempt by virtue of s40(2) - Personal data, this is
where information is likely to identify an individual.
I await your reply
