Dear Dacorum Borough Council,
I am led to believe there is an usatisfied county court judgement
against dacorum borough council totalling £13777.00
Made in the mayor and city court 21-08-2009 (case no 9MY04436)
can you confirm or refute that this CCJ is outstanding or has been
paid please?
Yours faithfully,
Chug Freeman

Dear Mr Freeman,
Further to your request I can confirm that the amount mentioned in the CCJ has been paid.
For your additional information the situation originally arose because DBC's insurers failed to deal with proceedings and therefore judgement was entered in default. On receipt of the Order of Judgement , steps were taken to make the payment, payment was made by telegraphic transfer on 2 September, within the timeframe allowed.
The claimant’s solicitors should then have contacted the court to confirm the date that the payment was made and thereafter the Court would remove the CCJ from the Record. Unfortunately they omitted to do this. They have now been asked to do this again and the court will then update the records and remove this item.
