Dear Comhairle nan Eilean Siar / Western Isles Council,

I would like to request a complete list of suppliers/contractors
and consultants that have been used over the past year when
procuring IT Software and the total spend on IT Software during the
past financial year.

Also could you break this Software spend down
to show which department uses which application.

Please also provide details of IT Contracts Managers and any
person(s) involved in IT Software procurement.

Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Council Use of IT Software

I refer to your request for information of 9 February 2010 and note the
terms of your request to receive a complete list of suppliers/contractor
and consultants that have been used over the past year when procuring IT
Software and the total spend on IT Software in the past financial year.

Please find the attached list of software suppliers/contractor and
consultants that are currently used by the Comhairle. Please note that
application support costs are paid directly by each department and are
detailed at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

The Comhairle do not employ an IT Contracts Manager although Angus
Macarthur, Head of IT, would normally be involved in all IT procurement.

I trust that this information meets your needs. If you are dissatisfied
with this response you can request the Comhairle to review this response
to your request for information. You have 40 days, from the date of
receipt of this response, in which to lodge this requirement for review.
A request for review must be in writing, describe your original request
