Afternoon,
Apologies, can I also confirm that the 'last year' you refer to is our
financial year being April 2009 - Present?
And, that you only require one spend figure that being the total for all
software costs for the year in question?
Thank you for your time.

Dear Mr Fitzsimmons,
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
Your request for information has now been considered. The information you
have requested is enclosed.
As I haven't heard from you in response to an e-mail I sent asking for
clarification, on your original request, I have made some assumptions
(correct I hope) on what you were asking for in order that I could give
you a timely response and provide you with information that I hope you
find useful.
The data is for the financial year April 2009 - Present and the total
spend includes ongoing costs (excluding Social Care) eg. agreements,
licences, maintenance as our financial systems code to' ICT Software'
without making a distinction between purchase of new software and
associated costs for existing software.
For your information the request came to this directorate 'Resources' as
it contains the Corporate ICT Service which purchases software for across
the Council. I have provided the data for us but, in addition was made
aware that the other directorates could purchase software direct
themselves so as much as I was able to I have also gathered data from
them.
If you have any queries or should you wish to make a complaint about the
manner in which your request is being dealt with then please do not
hesitate to contact me at the above address in the first instance. Any
complaints will be dealt with under the Council's corporate complaints
procedure.
