In order for East Lothian Council (ELC) to process your request accurately
and efficiently, it would be most helpful if you could clarify part of
your request. You have asked for:

" - total amount claimed by the council for driving expenses in the last
12 months"

We have taken this to mean the travel expenses claimed by ELC staff.
Please can you confirm, however, whether you require this information for
the entire staff of ELC or do you have a specific department or area
mind?

Some expenses information, for example those of East Lothian's
Councillors, is already published on ELC's website:
