Costs of Dog Service vans

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom
Of Information Act
I require the information for the wightdogs.com website, of which I
am the webmaster, in order that the council tax payers of the
Island can have ease of access to this information in order to
judge whether they are obtaining value for money.

1. The number of dog wardens vans the council currently has.

2. The individual cost of purchasing one of the vans used by your
dog wardens.

3. The combined cost of insuring your dog wardens vans per annum.

4. The combined running costs, other than insurance, of your dog
wardens vans per annum.
ie fuel, road tax, maintenance etc.

5. The average life expectancy, prior to the need for replacement,
of the dog wardens vans.

The wightdogs.com website is linking to this request for information as it is required for the forthcoming public consultation on the proposed changes to the councils Dog Control Orders.
It is also required in order to inform the council tax payers of the Isle of Wight of the factual situation, in order that they are able to access for themselves whether they are getting value for money.
