Dear Nigel,
I apologise for our late response to this request. I am still waiting for one piece of information from Parking Services (question 5 - expected annual revenues to be received from penalties). The rest of the request is answered below:
1. The objectives (i.e. expected benefits) for which mobile CCTV traffic enforcement vehicles have been deployed within the borough of Ealing. This should include both financial and any other objectives.
Compliance, road safety, traffic management, funding freedom passes and putting any financial gain back into transport related schemes.
2. Details of how the success of this deployment is to be measured, e.g. key performance indicators, measurement criteria.
By comparing the numbers of recorded contraventions at the locations over a period of time; ensuring that it is a self financing operation and that there is no loss to the council; public awareness.
3. Actual performance against objectives to date, i.e. since the deployment earlier this year.
We do not hold any information on this.
4. Expected total running costs of the units (including capital outlay and annual running costs for front line vehicle operation and back office processing costs).
£574,246
I will try to get the remaining information to you as soon as possible. If you still wish to make a complaint, the procedure is available on our website at:
