Please provide details of the estimated cost of each investigation
carried out using powers under RIPA to establish whether families
live within catchment areas for schools or not.
If this is not available, then please supply the number of hours
investigators spend working on these cases, and the pay scale of
those investigators.

Good Afternoon Ms Thrope,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Your request is with our
legal team who have overseen the RIPA investigations. I have tried to
contact the relevant officer, but they are out of the office until
Tuesday. I will chase again then and will contact you with a further
update on this request.

Dear Ms Thrope
Further to your FOI request, the Council's response is that any
investigation carried out comes under the work of the Officer employed
by the Service Unit, therefore the investigations were at no extra cost.

Thank you for your recent response.
I did not however, ask for details of any 'extra' cost, merely the
cost to the public purse of carrying out this work.
