The City Council have paid a total of £5362.20 to Consultants IRIS for
their involvement in the recent consultation on the expansion of Sefton
Park Schools.

I have been advised that I may send information but not documents under
a Freedom of Information request and therefore have not supplied copies
of the relevant invoices from IRIS.

This response should answer your request in full, however if you are
not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any
exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the
Data Protection Officer at Bristol City Council Legal Services, The
Council House, College Green, Bristol, BS99 7PH, or [Bristol City Council request email].
Details of the complaints procedure can be found at
http://www.bristol.gov.uk/complaints.

If, after you have exhausted the council’s complaints procedure, you
are still not satisfied with the response you have received you have the
right to complain to the Information Commissioner, details of your right

I can confirm that after receiving your request for the review, I have
been in contact with the council department who hold the information
requested and can now enclose below a copy of the response provided.

After reviewing this matter, I must apologise for the extended delay
that you have experienced in receiving the response. Unfortunately it
appears that the delay has arisen due to staff absence in exceptional
circumstances. However staff have been reminded that we must meet the
statutory time limit in responding to such requests.

Outstanding response to Freedom of Information request:

In reply to your further Freedom of Information request, a copy of
which is enclosed below:

The details of the £5362.20 that the City Council have paid a to
Consultants IRIS, comes in the form of two invoices broken down as:

* invoice dated 24 July, 2008 = £1,650.00

* invoice dated 29 October, 2008 = £3,712.20

The work involved was:

AIM of the CONSULTATION:
To provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to be involved and
informed on the plans, as they are developed, to extend Sefton Park
Infant and Junior Schools into an official three form entry school.

TIMETABLE
Start in May 08 with meetings with key stakeholders, provide and
distribute questionnaire to wide range of consultees.
June / July 08 holding first focus groups.
Sept 08 - continuation of focus groups.
Oct 08 - produce outcome information.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a requester is
entitled to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it
holds "information" described in the request and if that is the case, to
have that information communicated to them. In some cases, the Council
will disclose copies of documents in response to a request, however the
act does not specify that copies of documents should be provided, rather
that we provide the information requested, unless of course an exemption
applies.
