Dear Sir or Madam,
I notice the Lord Lords in the new roles as Justices have some
rather snazzy new robes

Can you tell me the total cost of these robes?
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr. Leaton
You have sent your request for information about the robes worn by the Justices of the new Supreme Court to the House of Lords Administration.
As you may be aware the final appeal hearings and judgments of the House of Lords took place on 30 July 2009. The judicial role of the House of Lords as the highest appeal court in the UK has ended.
From 1 October 2009, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom assumed jurisdiction on points of law for all civil law cases in the UK and all criminal cases in England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
The House Administration is not involved in the running of the new Supreme Court and does not hold information relating to the cost of the robes.
If you have not already done so, I would advise you to send your request to the Supreme Court.
Yours sincerely
Frances Grey

Dear FOI LORDS,
Thank you. The request is already in. It went to you because they
are still members of the House of Lords.
If the Supreme Court says it's in your ball court, I will be back
Yours sincerely,
Nick Leaton
