Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, please supply:
1) The cost of setting up the Job Search funtionality on the
Jobcentre website
2) Annual maintenance cots for this section of the website
3) Either
i) Whether any reduction or repayment has been secured based on
the fact that the search function does not perform correctly.; or
ii) If in fact the search is intended to perform in such a manner
(ignoring specified distances etc) copies of the minutes of
meetings or consultations that led to this odd decision.

Thank you for your response. Sadly it appears to be inaccurate.
Having just used the DirectGov search the distance is still being
ignored. Hopefully this can be corrected as it makes finding
relevant vacancies much harder since they are frequently "pushed
off the bottom" of the search

Dear DWP Adelphi Freedom-of-Information-Request,
Thank you for your response.
I still do not understand the point in asking for distance you wish
to travel if it is going to be ignored. For example, I have no
interest in vacancies in London or Scotland but they keep being
added into my search results despite being more than 10X the
specified distance. The filter only helps if you do not wish to
sort by "Date Posted" or one of the other options. As soon as you
sort by "Date Posted" the jobs outside your area are mixed in with
the potentially useful ones. This obviously increases the chances
of relevant jobs being missed as pointless ones get in the way.
Why not have a tick box to allow results from outside the specified
area to be included? That would mean that you can block them out if
you wish.
