Dear Mr Wren,
Thank you for your request for information enclosed below. I apologise for the delay in our response, however I can confirm that in dealing with your request, we have been considering sections 41 - Information Provided in confidence and Section 43 - Commercial Interests, of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
However we are now in a position to disclose the figures requested for 2008 and 2007. I understand that the Festival was ran and managed by a different team prior to this date and we are still awaiting the requested information regarding the remaining years, to be retrieved from archive. This will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.

We have considered that this particular request has engaged section 43 of the Act, as disclosure of this particular information would prejudice the commercial interests of the parties. In this instance the council requires further time to consider the public interest in relation to this part of the request. I apologise for this delay and will respond in full to your request as soon as possible, but in any event within 10 working days.
This response should answer your request in full, however if you are not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the Data Protection Officer at Bristol City Council Legal Services, The Council House, College Green, Bristol, or [Bristol City Council request email].
