A Freedom of Information request to Armagh District Council by Nick McBride
The request was successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Can you please detail, for each year since your public website was
launched, how much money has been spent on creating, developing,
and running it.
Where possible, please break these costs out by function (for
example, development, design, updates, changes, hosting,
co-location, domain registration, licensing etc). Where the costs
have been incurred with external providers, please list the company
in question. For internal staff time, if this is not recorded
and/or charged explicitly, please provide estimates based on
salary/overheads of people involved.
Yours faithfully,
Nick

Dear Mr Mc Bride
In response to your freedom of Information I am providing the following
Information. In addition to the suggested functions that you provided I
also added a column for Training. This was for internal staff to learn
to use the content management element of the web site.
The Web site is wholly provided by an external organisation called
Net-Finity.
I hope that this fulfils the request and provides the information you
require.

Hi Conleth,
Thank you for this information, and for adding the Training column
as well.
A couple of small points of clarification: there are no costs
listed for Domain Registration: is that rolled in with the hosting
costs or some other item? If so is it possible to break that out
(perhaps from a line item on an invoice, or a contract, or
correspondence from Net-Finity)?
Also, can you explain the difference between Updates and Changes?
Thanks,
Nick

Nick
I have taken Changes to mean an addition of a new section. For example we added a section to allow suppliers to download tender information. Updates I have taken to mean changes to existing sections.
I didn't include Domain Name registration as is isn't exclusively to do with the Web. The cost of domain name registration is £40 per annum plus VAT.
Hopefully this provides the clarification you require. Please feel free to contact me if you require any more information
Have a nice week
