Can you please detail, for each year since your public website was launched, how much money has been spent on creating, developing, and running it.

Where possible, please break these costs out by function (for example, development, design, updates, changes, hosting, co-location, domain registration, licensing etc). Where the costs have been incurred with external providers, please list the company in question. For internal staff time, if this is not recorded and/or charged explicitly, please provide estimates based on salary/overheads of people involved.

request, I have attached a spreadsheet which details the costs involved
in developing, designing, updating and maintaining our website for the
last three financial years.

As indicated on the spreadsheet, the main part of the work is completed
by an external provider - MMC Solutions.

Hi Brid,

Thank you for this information.

Just to clarify:

a) Are the figures only for the last 3 years because prior to that you had no website, or because you have no records prior to that?

b) The "estimated 10% of 1 employee": is that based on 10% of a simple gross salary or a fully-loaded employee cost, or some other mechanism?

Dear Nick,

Further to your request, I can clarify that

A) Yes, the figures given are only for three years because our
website was launched that year.

B) The estimate of 10% is based on a simple gross salary. We do
not keep actual records. Various employees in different departments
will update different parts of the website as and when necessary e.g.
Job, events, news etc.

I hope this clarifies our figures for you. Should you require any
further information, please let me know.
