Thank you for your e-mail of 8th July 2008 in which you requested access

In your e-mail you requested access to the following information:

I wish to confirm that the Council does hold some of the information that
you have sought access to and I attach to this e-mail an Excel spreadsheet
which gives the Council's response to your queries.

Please note that it has not been possible to give an estimate for internal
staff time. This is not recorded or charged for explicitly by the Council
and this information cannot be easily or adequately compiled in order to
answer your query.

If you are not satisfied with the response you have received to your
request for access to information, please note that you can ask for the
matter to be reviewed. In order to have this review carried out please
put your request or complaint in writing to the Chief Executive of
Limavady Borough Council, 7 Connell Street, Limavady, BT49 OHA. He will
carry out an investigation into how the matter was dealt with by Council
Officers and he will then respond to you directly when he has completed
his investigation.

Dear Elizabeth,

Thank you for this information. I note that no costs are listed for
domain registration. Are there no costs incurred for this, or are
they included under one of the other headings (perhaps hosting)?

If it is the latter, is it possible for those to be separated out,
perhaps by reference to line items on an invoice, contracts, or
even correspondence records?

In relation to staff time, I appreciate that you do not have the
information in the form that I requested it. Does the Council hold
any information that might help someone make an estimate of costs
incurred like this?

Dear Nick

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST
COST OF COUNCIL WEBSITE

Thank you for your follow up e-mail of 1st August 2008 regarding your FOI
request.

I referred your query regarding costs for domain registration to the
Council's Finance/IT Manager (he is responsible for both sections within
the Council). He has manually checked all the invoices received in
relation to the website from the various companies identified in our
earlier response to you but can find no specific costing in relation to
domain registration within these invoices. No other contracts or
correspondence we have on file make reference to this either. We can only
assume therefore that domain registration has been included under hosting
or one of the other headings in the original information we forwarded to
you.

In relation to staff time, the Council does not keep on record any
information that would even help make an estimate of staff costs incurred
in relation to the website. We do not operate a system of time allocation
or any tracking systems for work being undertaken by staff. Any estimate
we could give would be purely hypothetical and could not be said to have
any sound basis.

I will be on leave during the following two weeks but if you have any
further queries or wish for further clarification, please do not hesitate
