Dear Mrs Harris
I refer to your Freedom of Information Act request below.
I am mindful of the fact that you have inspected certain documents in accordance with the Audit Commission Act provisions for the inspection of the Council's accounts and that you requested further information when you met Sarah Fogden on 29th July 2010. I do not propose to send you copies of the papers you have already seen or those you asked Ms Fogden to provide at the meeting.
Moreover, would you please be aware that to supply you with all of the information that you are seeking in your Freedom of Information request, excluding that related to your Audit Commission Act request, would require considerable staff input to obtain and mean that the appropriate time limit as defined by Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act (which equates to approximately 18.5 hours per request) will be exceeded. The exercise to provide you with the initial information that you requested under the Audit Commission Act took at least 22 hours of staff time to research and collate. The additional information on the Core Strategy and the other details I believe would take well in excess of 100 plus hours to gather together. Therefore, I am unable to accede to your request. However, if you are able to refine your request in any way, I will consider the matter further.
If you disagree with any part of this response, you are entitled to ask the Council for an internal review of the decision made. You may do this by writing to the Monitoring Officer, by either email - [email address] or by writing to Monitoring Officer, Oxford City Council, Town Hall, Blue Boar Street, Oxford, OX1 4EY. After the result of the internal review, if you remain dissatisfied, you may ask the Information Commissioner to intervene on your behalf. You may do this by writing to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
Yours sincerely
Sent on behalf of Michael Newman (Corporate Secretariat Manager & Freedom of Information Officer) Oxford City Council, Town Hall, St Aldates, Oxford, OX1 1BX
