Jon Green made this Freedom of Information request to Rother District Council

The request was successful.

From: Jon Green

28 August 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would appreciate a copy of all procedures relating to the
handling of FOI requests within Rother District Council.

This should include standardised response letters, internal
guidance to staff (both those processing the initial request and
those providing the information) and the formal FOI complaints
procedure.

Yours faithfully,

Jon Green

Dear Mr Green

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000

With reference to your request received on 28 August 2008 about FOI
handling procedures, I attach a copy of our staff handbook for FOI and our
standardised response letters. Complaints are dealt with in accordance
with the Council's general complaints procedure and I attach a copy (which
is available on our website).

You may use our internal complaints procedure if you are dissatisfied. If
you are still dissatisfied you may appeal to the Information

Dear Lynda Crawford,

Thank you for this response but information relating to your
charging regime and publication scheme appear to be missing
(essentially you cannot charge if you do not have a charging regime
in place).

I also note that whilst you provide the name of an individual to
write to if you are dissatisified with a response you do not
provide any contact details.

As someone dealing with FOI since its inception in the public
sector I am a little disappointed (personal opinion with no
requirement for a response).

Yours sincerely,

Jon Green

Lynda, would you please send him a link to our present publication
scheme, which includes some details of charges.

His point about contact details may be justified; please ask Anne what
we should say.

Regards,
David.
