Dear Joanne Addison,
Thank you for your reply to my request. However, I have read your
Licensing Policy Statement and it does not contain the information
that I requested. It may be easier if I break my original request
down into two questions which I would like answering:
1. Are there currently any Designated Public Place Orders (made
under section 12 of the Police and Criminal Justice Act 2001) in
force in the London Borough of Redbridge?
2. If so, will you please send me a copy of all of these orders and
any maps that show the extent of the area covered by each order?
Thank you again for your assistance. I look forward to your
earliest reply.
Yours sincerely,
Matt Ashby

Dear Ms Addison,
On 22 July 2008 I made the following request to you under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000:
"Please could you provide me with a copy of all the Designated
Public Place Orders made by your authority under sections 12 to 16
of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 and which are currently
in force, together with a copy of any maps which show the extent of
the the area covered by each order?"
On 23 July you sent me an acknowledgement. On 29 July you stated
that the information I had requested was already available on the
council's website as part of your Licencing Policy Statement. On 30
July I stated that the information I had requested was not where
you said it was, and reminded you of the exact terms of my original
request. On 31 July you sent me a second acknowledgement.
I should have received a substantive reply to my request by 20
August, 20 working days after my request was made. As yet I have
not received such a reply.
Can you please reply to my original request? If you are not able to
provide me with the information that I asked for immediately,
please provide me with an estimate of when you will be able to
supply the information, as well as an explanation of the delay.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Yours sincerely,
FoI (Freedom of Information)

I acknowledge receipt of your email and have made enquiries in the service area that would be responding to you to try to find out when a reply would be sent. Unfortunately, due to staff absences this will probably not happen until next week. Apologies for this, but I am sure you will receive a response at the earliest possible moment. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
