Dear Mr Stott,
On 22 July 2008 I made the following request to you under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000:
"Please could you provide me with a copy of all the Designated
Public Place Orders made by your authority under sections 12 to 16
of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 and which are currently
in force, together with a copy of any maps which show the extent of
the the area covered by each order?"
On 23 July you sent me an acknowledgement giving the reference
FOI2008-239. On 15 August you replied to me stating that you were
still waiting for colleagues to provide you with the information I
requested. I should have received a substantive reply to my request
by 20 August, 20 working days after my request was made. As yet I
have not received such a reply.
Can you please reply to my original request? If you are not able to
provide me with the information that I asked for immediately,
please provide me with an estimate of when you will be able to
supply the information, as well as an explanation of the delay.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Matt Ashby

Dear Mr Ashby
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the above Freedom of Information request.
The reason for the delay in responding to your request has been due to staff annual leave and I have therefore been waiting for officers to get back to me regarding this matter. I am able to advise that In September 2002, the Regulation and Enforcement Review Committee decided in principle to make a
DPPO affecting land in Earl's Court Ward; this decision was later confirmed following statutory consultation. In March 2006 the Committee decided in principle to make a further DPPO affecting land in Colville, Golborne, and Notting Barns Wards; this decision was also confirmed later following the
required consultation.
I have attached copies of the relevant reports which detail the information you require in relation to the orders. With regards to providing you with a copy of the maps I have spoken to the relevant officer who has just returned from annual leave and he has advised me that he will make a search for
an electronic version of the maps. He is also to provide me with a hard copy of the maps in the event that there are no electronic versions. Once I have received the maps (I expect to receive these over the next couple of days) I will of course forward you the copies.

Complaints
I trust this has satisfied your request. Should you be unhappy with the handling of your request, the Council has an internal complaints process for handling FOI Act complaints. Complaints are reviewed by the Town Clerk and Chief Executive or his nominee. A form is available from our website to
lodge your complaint (http://www.rbkc.gov.uk/yourcouncil/freed...). Please contact us if you do not have website access and we can provide you with a copy of the form.
Following this review, should you still be unhappy with how your information request has been handled, you have a further right to appeal to the Information Commissioner who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the FOI Act.

Dear Mr Ashby
Further to my earlier e-mail where I advised you that the only map we held was for the Golborne & Colville Wards. I have now been advised that we do in fact have a map detailing the Earls Court controlled drinking areas. A copy of the map is attached above.
