Hello Jill

Further to your request made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please find below response from NHS Nottingham City.

Please could you inform me of the continuing health care funding payment
levels within your PCT,

If your query relates to how much the PCT pays for continuing care, we can
only say that each patient is an individual, and although we have agreed
rates for nursing home provision within the locality, this accounts for
only a small proportion of continuing healthcare clients, as we also fund
a lot of people either in their own homes or out of area or in specialist
units where each case is individually costed.

and also if you allow 'top up fees' for nursing home care to be made - No

We must advise you that where we have provided information we have done so
subject to the provisions of the Re-use of Public Sector Information
Regulations 2005. Accordingly you must not re-use this information without
having the consent of the Trust. Where the Trust is prepared to provide
its consent then it may levy a charge for doing so. Should you wish to
re-use documents provided then you must make your request in writing
stating your name and your address for correspondence together with the
document that you wish to re-use and the purpose for which the information
is to be re-used.

If you are not satisfied with the way in which we have dealt with your
request, you may ask us to review any decision we make. Please contact
our complaints department at the above address.

If you remain dissatisfied at the conclusion of any review you may
complain to the Information Commissioner at:

Dear Roddis Vanessa,

Please could you inform me as to what the agreed rate for nursing
home provision is - I appreciate that there will be variances on
this dependent on individual need.

Many thanks

Hello Jill

NHS Nottingham City only have standard rates for older people (including dementia). These are:

Local Authority rate (depends on geographical location of home but for example in Nottingham City, the rate varies between £330 and £365 per week) PLUS Band A (currently £183) or Band B (currently £427) or Fast Track (currently £305).

We do not have standard rates for any other care group - all patients are individually costed as per their care needs.

Hope this is the information you were seeking.
