continuing health care funding payments

Dear Jill

Thank you for your request for information under the terms of the FOI
Act 2000 relating to the funding of Continuing Healthcare.

I can confirm the PCT does not have a single fee level for its
placements and we judge each case on the basis of the person's needs and
what we expect to pay for that particular level and type of care.

Furthermore, the PCT does not pay top-ups, as the fee we pay is
expected to meet the full costs of the persons care needs.

I am advised we have no minimum or maximum figure and cases are dealt
with on a case by case basis and fees are negotiated with the home in
question.
