Please supply details of Continuing Health Care expenditure by the
PCT during 2006/07, 2007/08 and first half of 2008/09.

Please provide

- total expenditure in each of these periods; - the per capita CHC
spend for the area covered by the PCT; - number of people in
receipt of continuing health care funding in each period - average
value of continuing health care funding awards in each period

I am writing to confirm that the PCT has now completed its search for the
information which you requested on 10/01/09

The information requested is as follows:

Q Please supply details of Continuing Health Care expenditure by
the PCT during 2006/07, 2007/08 and first half of 2008/09.

Please provide

- total expenditure in each of these periods; - the per capita CHC spend
for the area covered by the PCT;

- number of people in receipt of continuing health care funding in each
period

- average value of continuing health care funding awards in each period

A As NHS Central Lancashire came into existence in October 2006
we are unable to provide you with information for the year 2006/07

2007/08: 500 people received continuing healthcare and the
expenditure was £10.8 million

2008/09: up to December 2008: 624 have received continuing healthcare, of
those 209 have died within the time frame. There are currently 415 people
in receipt of continuing healthcare. The expenditure for this period is
£8 million
