Dear Sir or Madam,
In consideration of public safety should controllers vote to strike
over the changes to their working hours and consequential loss of
contractual overtime, can the constabulary confirm that contingency
plans are in place for the safe and efficient operation of the
Hampshire area 999 service, will these include bringing in
controllers from areas such as Thames Valley, Merseyside,Mercia or
other forces, and can the public be assured that their safety will
not be jeopardised by Hampshire constabulary using either untrained
personnel, or controllers from areas that use different systems to
those used by Hampshire controllers?
Yours faithfully,
Sun Day
