Dear Bristol City Council,
Please could you explain to me the constitutional status of Bristol
Regional Environmental Records Centre is? In particular:
Is it a body corporate? If so, how was it established?
Is it a joint committee constituted in accordance with section
102(1)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972?
Is it an unincorporated association? If so, please could you send
me a copy of its constitution or equivalent?
In any case, who are its members?
In the event that "Bristol Regional Environmental Records Centre"
is a brand name used by some other body, please consider this
request to apply to that body.

On 17th November I wrote to you with some questions regarding the
status of Bristol Regional Environmental Records Centre. I don't
seem to have received a reply. Could you confirm that you received
my message?
In case you didn't, I repeat the questions below:

The Museums Galleries and Archives team have provided the following
information which should answer your request in full...
Brerc is a section within Bristol City Council. It is currently funded
by a group of unitary authorities and agencies. The funding is based on
an annual exchange of letters which outlines the services Brerc will
supply during that year.
Please let me know if you have any other queries.

not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any
exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the
