Conservative Party Autumn Conference 2011

Zoe O'Connell made this Freedom of Information request to Greater Manchester Police

The request was successful.

From: Zoe O'Connell

3 October 2011

Dear Greater Manchester Police,

For the security vetting/accreditation procedure carried out for
the Conservative Party Autumn Conference 2011, please can you
supply:

1) A copy of any equalities impact assessment carried out in
relation either to the vetting procedure or overall policing.

2) A copy of procedures put in place for handling vetting for any
minorities groups that might have been adversely affected by the
process, if any.

The total number of people who:
3) Applied to be accredited...

4) ...and were then approved.

5) ...and were then rejected...
a) ...but the party permitted entry anyway.
b) ...but the party did not permit entry.

6) ...but did not complete the process...
a) ...because the police did not complete the process in time.
b) ...because the individual did not complete the process. (e.g.
documents still pending by conference date, or they explicitly
withdrew)

For each of the above, please break down if possible the number of
people who applied by category, e.g. Members/Party Staff, Media,
Exhibitors etc.

7) The estimated cost of the vetting process.

Yours faithfully,

Zoe O'Connell
