Dear Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust,

1, How many of your employees attend conferences which involve
costs of travel and accommodation from public funds in each of the
last three financial years.

2. What was the amount of money refunded or allocated to health
authority employees during the last three financial years for staff
travel to and accommodation at conferences.

Dear R Thompson,

We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail requesting information from the
Trust under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI).
Please note that while the Trust strives to be open and is normally able
to satisfy requests in full, the right of access is not absolute and some
requests may have to be refused, for example where disclosure would breach
patient confidentiality or put people in danger. Decisions will be made
subject to the law, taking into account the public interest.

The timescale allowed for a response under the FOI legislation is 20
working days. Your request was received on 1 July 2011 and therefore,
including any impending public holidays, the deadline for a response is 29
July 2011. If we are able to respond to you earlier than this we will do
so.
