Concessionary Travel Scheme

Dear Nottingham City Council,

May I please ask the following questions regarding the last fiscal
year?

(1) How much funding in total did you get from Central Government
in that year? (This includes money as allocated from the year 2000
scheme, the additional money as made available from 2002 and the
money under the 2006 Act)

(2) What was the total cost to the Council of operating the
Concessionary Travel Scheme in that year?

(3) What sort of negotiation and review you have with the bus
companies to ensure Best Value

(4) What audit arrangements you have in place to ensure that the
money is properly spent and accounted for?

(5) As the money is not ring-fenced how can you be sure exactly
what you have done with it?

As you say that you do not hold figures for the amounts received
under the 2000 and 2002 schemes, will you therefore please quote
the amounts received for the latest year for which you hold data
regarding these amounts and confirm the years concerned
