Dear Transport for London,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 relating to the cyclists using the DLR.

Specifically I would like to request:

- The total number of complains that TfL has received from people
about being unable to take their cycles on the DLR.

- The number of people prosecuted for taking their bikes on DLR
trains or stations.

I would like this information for the periods 2008/2009 and
2007/2008.

Thank you for your request of 4 August 2010 under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (`the Act') for the following:

"Specifically I would like to request:

- The total number of complains that TfL has received from people
about being unable to take their cycles on the DLR.

- The number of people prosecuted for taking their bikes on DLR trains
or stations.

I would like this information for the periods 2008/2009 and
2007/2008."

On behalf of British Transport Police (`BTP'), I would like to apologise
for the delay in responding to your email. Your request has now been
processed and I can confirm that we hold some of the information you have
requested.

In relation to the number of complaints the TFL has received from people
about being unable to take their cycles on the DLR the number for
2008/2009 was three complaints and for 2007/2008 the figure was seven
complaints. These figures were provided to BTP by TFL. We do not hold
information in relation to the number of people prosecuted as there are no
bicycle specific DLR bylaws.
