Dear Sir or Madam,
Since the year 2000 how many complaints have you determined against
Haringey Council that involved social services and how were they
determined.
Clarification: A news report suggest that 115 complaints have been
dealt with by you with only one finding of maladministration
leading to injustice. I would like to know how the others were
dealt with. Particularly the number of local settlements.
The news report I refer to can be read here.

This FOI request identified that the LGO locally settled 20 cases with Haringey. A local settlement means that the LGO agree to drop the investigation if the council agree to pay the complainant a paltry sum of compensation (please refer to my follow up FOI below). The complainant has no say in the matter and for a few hundred pounds quite serious acts of maladministration are buried by the LGO and are never exposed for what they are.
