Metropolitan Police Authority did not have the information requested.

30 October 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am requesting the number of complaints made since 2005 about
camden council, by this I mean complaints made about council
officers, councillors, bodies funded or contracted by camden
council.
Please provide a breakdown of complaints per year, what category of
complaint they were and what the outcome of the complaint was.
Also please inform me of the protocol for when you do receive
complaints about public authorities.
Yours faithfully,
T. Morgan

Dear Yvonne Peart,
Thank you for your response.
Not sure why camden council would hold the information, but I'll
give it a go. In the meantime I am requesting an appeal to your
claim that the met police does not hold (or a least have access to)
the information I have requested.
Yours sincerely,
T. Morgan

The Authority does not hold this information requested. The right to access under the Freedom of Information Act applies to recorded information held by the Authority.
Camden Council would deal with complaints about the services provided by them. They would investigate the complaint and advise the complainant of the review and appeals procedures.
I am sorry that I could not be of more assistance on this occasion

Dear Yvonne Peart,
I'm a bit puzzled by your responses - please clarify the following:
Are you saying that the met police does not record complaints it
receives about camden council employees, camden cllrs and
funded/contracted by camden council third parties?
Are you saying that the met police does not have a protocol for
dealing with complaints about camden council?
Yours sincerely,
T. Morgan

As stated in my earlier email the Metropolitan Police Authority does not hold the information that you have requested. You may wish to make a request to the Metropolitan Police Service. However, the best option would be to make your request to the London Borough of Camden, as they would have procedures for dealing with complaints received about their employees and councillor's.
