handling of my FOI request 'Complaint to Gus O'Donnell from John
Major concerning Damian McBride in 2008' CABINET OFFICE REFERENCE:

Under the FOI Act I was legally due a response on 28th May.

would be told if there were any further delays to responding to my
query, I have still heard nothing despite chasing again on 7th
July.
I request that a review of my request covers the following items:
1. Is clarification of my request required?
2. What date will I get a response?
3. Is anybody trying stop either all or part of the information I
have requested from being made public?

Dear Cabinet Office,
Happy birthday - it was a year yesterday since you last wrote to
me. We have spoken many times on the phone, when I have called you,
but the person who is dealing with this FOI request (Ref:
FOI264839) is always away from their desk or on holiday.
What shall we do next year to celebrate this unanswered request? I
thought I might bake a cake.
Yours faithfully,

Dear Cabinet Office,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Cabinet Office's
handling of my FOI request 'Complaint to Gus O'Donnell from John
Major concerning Damian McBride in 2008'.
Your Ref: FOI264839
I would like three areas reviewed:
1. Why did it take so long to provide me with a response?
2. Please provide me with a copy of all documentation generated as
a result of my FOI request.
3. Publication of the document I requested has been blocked because
of section 36.2.C of the act. I would like this judgement reviewed,
particularly with respect ensuring that the communications of
senior officials are treated with the same standards of openess as
the communication of junior officials.

Dear Johnathon,
A cake sounds a good idea.....no candles though as there's enough hot air already!
Maybe a present from ICO too as previously suggested?

Seriously, I've noted several times that the Cabinet Office is slow to respond unless there is ICO intervention.
