Dear D.Speers
Thank you for your request for information which is copied below. In response to your questions:
Q 1 and 2
As the Commissioner’s office do not allocate staff time to particular inquiries, this information is not held by the House of Commons.
You can find details of the staff and budget of the Commissioner’s office in his last annual Report, available on the Parliamentary webpages: http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa... .
Q3
We are not sure what is required but I refer you to the Commissioner's last Annual Report (first link below). Chapter 3 gives details of complaints upheld in 2008-09. You may also find it useful to read Procedural Note 1 available on the parliamentary website, although this does not use that term (second link below).

This Report really is a damming indictment of just how damaged things are within our healthcare system. We are assured by the Complaints Lead for England and Wales:“The PHSO and her office exist to provide a service to the public by undertaking independent investigations into complaints that government departments, a range of other public bodies in the UK, and the NHS in England have not acted properly or fairly or have provided a poor service” ....unless recommendations are monitored and implemented then its a complete waste of public money having unenforceable regulation.
