I would like the total compensation awards to children in care per
year over the last ten years. The awards being given for abuse
while in the care of West Sussex county council.

Dear Mrs O'Neill,
Your email dated 12 May requesting information has been passed to me in
legal services.
Having made enquiries within our litigation department and having run a
report from our database I can confirm that the council has had no claims
within the last ten years where it has paid compensation for abuse whilst
in care.

West Sussex County Council provides you with the right to request a review of
this response under its complaints procedure. If you decide to request a review
and are not satisfied with the outcome, you then have the right to direct your
comments to the Information Commissioner who will give it consideration.
